The story of the ship Neptune, launched in peacetime, her work during WWII, refitting to become part of the NZ Navy, and her demise in a minefield off Tripoli whilst diverted en route to NZ. Only one of her 750 strong crew survived. He spent 15 months in a POW camp before being returned to England and sent back to sea by the Royal Navy.
