In Lorcan Finnegan’s psychological thriller, a man (Nicolas Cage) returns to his childhood beach to surf with his son. But his desire to hit the waves is thwarted by a group of locals whose mantra is, “If you don’t live here, you don’t surf.” Humiliated and enraged, the man is drawn into a conflict that escalates in tandem with the sweltering summer heat, pushing him to his limits.
