Otto (Emilio Estevez,The Breakfast Club) is an alienated punk wandering the LA streets before a coke-sniffing Bud (Harry Dean Stanton,Paris, Texas), an aging repossession man, offers him money to drive a car out of a bad neighbourhood. Soon enough, Otto is earning big money under Bud’s tutelage but their latest repo job lands them in hot water when a nuclear physicist leaves something toxic – a nuclear device, an alien? – in the trunk of a 1964 Chevy… As the acerbic Bud advises his apprentice: ”A repo man’s life is always intense.”
